I am a historian whose research interests lie in the future: What will become of our planet? What is the best way to educate people? What is the purpose of History, and should we even be learning it?

I have a Ph.D. in History and a passion for science fiction. Diving deep into the Ancient and Medieval Worlds, I seek for what it can teach us for a peaceful, intellectual, sustainable future.

I am also a writer of science fiction, using that medium to explore the question of ‘What should we know abut the past?’ For centuries we’ve assumed we should simply study whatever history is available, without asking why, and what our purpose is. History should be studied with certain goals in mind, and I am dedicated to elucidating what they are.
